Whats on My iPad

I know its been a long time since I have posted on this blog, but in my defense I have been very busy. I recently took a one month trip to India to travel around and see some family. I am back now and will hopefully be posting more frequently.

Today I wanted to talk to you guys about what is on my iPad. I often see posts on the net about the "coolest" apps for the iPad, but most of the times the apps they feature are interesting but not always great for everyday use. So without further delay here are some of my most useful iPad apps.

Twitter - This app doesn't really need much of a description. The official twitter app for the iPad is great. If they ever introduce unread syncing with the mobile app it would be even better.
Friendly - For some strange reason Facebook has decided that the iPad isn't important enough to warrant having its own app. Thankfully we have "Friendly". This app makes using Facebook on the iPad a whole lot better.
Netflix - If you have a Netflix subscription then you need to download this app. If you don't have a Netflix account...Get a Netflix account.
Global Video, CityTv, CBC Video - Unfortunately for those of us living in Canada, we don't get access to Hulu. Thankfully most major networks have released apps for the iPad that allow us to watch our tv shows for free(with ads of course).
DropBox - This is probably one of the most convenient apps/services I have ever used. For more information check out the dropbox website. www.dropbox.com
Wikipanion - The best Wikipedia app for the iPad in my opinion. Get it.
FlipBoard - This is my most used app. Flipboard is like a personal magazine for all your social websites. Import your Twitter, Facebook, and Google Eeader feeds and FlipBoard will magically turn them into a magazine. Best of all it marks your Google Reader feeds as read which makes this app both "cool" and useful.

That concludes my must have apps for the iPad(some apps are also available for the iPhone/iPod Touch). I know I didn't talk about games in this post, but I wanted to save that for later on. If you have any suggestions as to some apps that should be added to this list let me know in the comments.

If you want to know what I'm up to between posts, follow me on Twitter. @xaxis
